Mayank Bhadra is a Western classical guitarist and music educator whose journey with the guitar began over 20 years ago. Starting with American folk songs on the acoustic guitar, he was drawn to the instrument for its simplicity, storytelling, and expressive possibilities, spending countless hours exploring melody, harmony, and sound. A defining turning point came when he encountered a performance of Asturias by John Williams. Witnessing a single guitarist create such depth, intensity, and orchestral richness was transformative. It revealed the true expressive power of Western Classical Guitar, and from that moment, Mayank committed himself fully to the classical tradition. An alumnus of the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, Mayank brings over 15 years of teaching and performance experience to his work. He has taught more than 500 guitar students across India, performed at respected venues, taught in international school environments, and guided numerous learners through Trinity College London guitar examinations. At Guitarra Music Academy, Mayank leads the artistic vision and curriculum. His teaching approach emphasizes staff notation, tone production, technical clarity, and musical literacy, helping students move beyond shortcuts and trends toward true musicianship.
